81. The Looking Glass Water: The Water That Woos

Every person in the known world goes through life wondering if God really exists. Some believe that He does...while others believe that He does not and they move on, but in the deep dark moments, they still wonder.

The Looking Glass Water is a story about a lake that contains something so miraculous that one cannot disbelieve that there is a very personal spirit that knows all and sees all. There are different types of people who come to the water and believe according to their beliefs and they walk away either completely changed or completely unchanged with the opportunity to live out their lives ever how they see fit. Each type of person has their own beliefs, but when they touch the water and are confronted by who they really are, choices and decisions are made as to what to do with this water that "so knows me, what else can I do but either submit to the water's desire or selfishly walk or run away."

There are also spiritual predators out there under the guise of religion or even politics. The people that you lend your ear to are not always telling you the truth nor are they representing the truth, but representing their own interests and means...beware!

I dare you to receive a taste of the water and see if it reveals you to you. The wonder of the water at work is amazing and if you've been challenged by life's challenges and trials, you'll find that there really is something out there that makes this life all worth while...

80. Know Who You are in Christ

“Again, the devil took Him to a very high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world, and their glory; and he said to Him, ‘All these things will I give You, if You fall down and worship me.’”   (Matthew 4:8-9, NKJV)
As Jesus Christ clearly knew Who He was, He also knew who the tempter was and what power he had on the earth. It is spoken of the devil in the Word of God that he, “prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour,” (1Peter 5:8); he will lay a snare or a trap in order to take them captive to do his will, (2 Timothy 2:26); a murderer and a liar, (John 8:34); the prince of this world, (John 12:31); the god of this age, (2 Corinthians 4:4); the prince of the power of the air, (Ephesians 2:2), as well as , many other names and devices.

The devil has authority in his realm and only in his realm. He had no authority over the kingdoms of this world as he put it; nor does he have full authority over all things in anything. But that doesn’t give him an excuse to speak the truth for he is the father of lies. It is his deceptive influence that simulates authority and is what deceives most people.

Know who you are in Christ. Know that you are wonderfully made in Him. You are a new creation dwelling in His Kingdom. Perfect love casts out all fear; God is perfect and holy love and in Him we move and have our being. Your trust is in Jesus Christ and the work that He did on Calvary was His all-sufficient grace for the salvation of the world. Know who you are in Christ for we battle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities in high places.

If you are in Christ, you have been made alive in Him, and He has raised us up together to sit in heavenly places in Him. (Ephesians 2:6) In Him, we are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit. (Eph. 2:22) In Him, you have put on the new man who was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness. (Eph. 4:24) In Him, we are being filled with fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God. (Philippians 1:11) For us to live is Christ, and to die is gain. (Phil 1:21) In Christ, He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. (Colossians 1:13-14)

Know who you are in Christ, for whom the Son sets free, is free indeed. Do not have conversations with satanic influences. Submit to the Lord in all things. Resist the devil and he will flee. (James 4:7) The power is in the Holy Spirit and you have been baptized with the Holy Spirit and with fire. Walk in the knowledge of Who He Is, for He dwells in you. Always remember that the battle is the Lord’s and we do not battle according to the flesh for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but are in the Spirit.

Abide in His Holy Spirit and His Spirit will show you the way!
